2013 Carlyon Cup – Nominations Announced

Nominations have been announced for the Group 3 Carlyon Cup, which is set to run at Caulfield Racecourse this Saturday February 9, 2013.

A total of 13 horses have accepted for the 2013 Carlyon Cup, including Invest.

Invest is trained by heath Conners at Geelong and will be looking for her first win over the 1,600 metre distance in the 2013 Carlyon Cup.

The Dehere mare will be looking to reclaim her winning form in the race after placing eighth in the Barton Stakes at Caulfield racecourse last start.

The four-year-old has won three of her 20 race starts and has earned more than $450,000 in prize money during her horse racing career.

Also included in the 2013 Rubiton Stakes nominations is Highly Recommended.

Highly Recommended ‘s last start was also in the Listed Barton Stakes on January 26, 2013, where he placed sixth.

He will be out to go five better when he runs in the 2013 Carlyon Cup this weekend.

The four-year-old gelding has won two of his 18 race starts and has earned more than $300,000 in prize money during his career.

Highly Recommended will be searching for his first win in almost a year when he lines up for the 2013 Carlyon Cup.
